WHY PLAY BOX LACROSSE?

 
Some of the benefits on the box game to your field game and overall lacrosse development include:

  • Increased finishing ability 
  • Ability to handle pressure from defenders comfortably
  • Quicker and more efficient decision making
  • Defensive footwork and positioning
  • Increased stick skills
  • Engaged in every single play - offensively and defensively
  • Learning 2-man game (pick and rolls)
  • Picking up ground balls in traffic

Get ready for the fast and furious game of box lacrosse!

 

Open to players from all clubs or school programs. No restrictions.

 

BOX LACROSSE HIGHLIGHTS:

- First session will be dedicated to practice and evaluations
- We will divide players into teams that will consist of 12-15 runners and a goalie
- Teams will play a total of 5 games. Teams will play for a Championship with top two teams in each division playing.
- Levels:  BOYS 3/4 Grade, 5/6 Grade
- Players will receive a jersey with specific team color
- League will supply goalie equipment (full box goalie equipment)

Players must wear full equipment including rib pads and bicep guards

COST PER PLAYER:

Current Orange Crush Travel Team Player:  $125
All other players: $225
Goalies - NO COST

 

DATES/TIMES:  

3rd/4th Grade Division: (First session will be practice/evaluation, last 5 will be games)

Thursdays May 19, 26, Jun 2, 9, 16, 23:  5:00 - 7:00 pm                                

 

5th/6th Grade Division: (First session will be practice/evaluation, last 5 will be games)

Thursdays May 19, 26, Jun 2, 9, 16, 23:  7:00 - 9:00 pm            

                

LOCATION: Burnet Park Indoor Rink (525 Burnet Park Road, Syracuse, NY)
